The Explorers will host Rhode Island tonight in an Atlantic 10 contest at Tom Gola Arena.

La Salle is coming off a 69-54 victory over Fordham and is looking to extend its Atlantic 10 winning streak to two games.

Ashley Gale dropped a game-high 25 points en route to scoring her 1,000th career point against Fordham. Gale is currently fourth in the A-10 in scoring, with 18.2 points per game.

The Rams enter the contest on an eight-game losing streak, including a 59-55 loss to Saint Joseph’s last time out. Rhode Island has yet to register an Atlantic 10 victory this season.

Megan Shoniker averages 18.9 points per game for the Rams, while Caitlin Kearns adds 6.1 rebounds per game.

The Explorers hold a 19-2 edge all-time over Rhode Island.
