PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle men's novice eight picked up a bronze medal to highlight the action at the Murphy Cup on Saturday on the Schuylkill River. The novice eight finished in a time of 7:04.60 behind Virginia and Drexel.

The men's varsity eight finished sixth in the finals in a time of 6:16.67 after recording a time of 6:02.52 to place second in its heat behind Temple. The men's novice eight won its heat (6:15.21) before earning a bronze medal. The men's varsity four was third in its heat with a time of 6:59.82.

The women's novice eight placed third in its heat (7:22.18) while the women's varsity four was fifth in its heat (3:45.45). The women's varsity eight placed fifth in its heat with a time of 7:06.48.

La Salle is back in action next Sunday against Connecticut and Marist in Coventry, CT.
