PHILADELPHIA - Today GoExplorers.com features lacrosse senior Brittany White.  The Farmingdale, N.Y. native has started all nine games on defense for La Salle this season.  White has picked up 12 ground balls on the season, as well as caused six turnovers, which is tied for second on the team.

What has been your favorite moment as a La Salle student-athlete?

Beating UMass in the last two seconds of our regular-season game against the team last year.

When/how did you start playing lacrosse?

I started playing in the fourth grade. The girls I played soccer with asked me if I wanted to start playing lacrosse and we all joined a team together.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Relax and watch reality TV with my roommates.

What are your career aspirations?

I would love to be a special education teacher on Long Island.

If you could spend a day with any one person, who would it be and why?

I can’t pick just one person to spend a day with. I would want to spend the day with my family since recently we’ve rarely all been in the same place together.

What do you like best about La Salle?

I like living on a college campus but having the city of Philadelphia only a few miles away.

What’s on your iPod right now?

Pretty Girl Rock – Keri Hilson

Who do you look up to? Why?

My grandparents because they are the most supportive and selfless people I have ever met.  I know I can count on them for anything.

Favorite away game memory?

Finding out that we made the A10 tournament last year.  Our coaches pretended we were playing Pictionary and held up a board saying that we made it in.  Everyone went crazy and was screaming and crying.

Best advice you have ever received?

Nothing worth having comes easy.
