BOONE, NC - Due to a forecast for inclement weather on Wednesday, the La Salle baseball team will play both games of its two-game set against Appalachian State on Tuesday, March 8th at Beaver Field at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium.

First pitch in the opening game of the twin bill is set for 1 p.m. RHP Shane Petrellis (0-0, 2.25) and LHP Dominic Sgroi (0-0, 3.72) will be on the mound for La Salle.

The Explorers (4-5) are trying to snap a three-game slide after winning their previous four.

The Mountaineers (6-5) will send RHP Ryan Arrowood (2-0, 0.79) to the hill in game one and LHP Chad Farmer (0-0, 0.00) will pitch game two.

It will be the fourth doubleheader of the early season for La Salle.  The Explorers are 2-4 in doubleheader games in 2011.
