PHILADELPHIA, PA - The La Salle baseball team's series-opener against Rhode Island has been rained out on Friday afternoon. The two teams will begin the series on Saturday with a doubleheader set to begin at noon at Hank DeVincent Field.

Both games of Saturday's doubleheader will be nine-inning affairs.

The Explorers (14-10, 1-2) will send RHP Kevin Fuqua and LHP Eric Van Wyk to the hill in the doubleheader.

The Rams (11-11, 1-2) will counter with LHP Chris Pickering and RHP Ken Graveline.

The third and final game of the weekend series is still scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. with RHP Cody Weiss starting for La Salle and LHP Stephen Peterson on the hill for Rhode Island.
