The 16th annual Atlantic 10 Women's Rowing Championship will take place on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J., on Saturday, April 16.

Rhode Island is the defending champion after winning its second A-10 Women’s Rowing Championship last season. La Salle is coming off a gold medal finish last year in the Freshman Four. The boat took first place with a time of 8:19, more than four seconds faster than second place Saint Joseph’s.

This year La Salle isn’t competing in the Freshman Four category, but they are entered in the Varsity Eight, Varsity Four and Freshman Eight categories. Last year, Rhode Island captured the Varsity Eight and Freshman Eight events and Massachusetts took first in the Varsity Four event.

The La Salle men’s crew is also in action Saturday as they compete on the Schuylkill River at the Kerr Cup. Check back on goexplorers.com for complete race results on Saturday.
