NEWPORT NEWS, VA– After being named GoExplorers.com Student Athlete of the Week on Monday, the accolades continued to pile up for Joe Beveridge who was also awarded Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors, the conference announced.

Beveridge had one of the more impressive weekends of any La Salle distance runner so far this season, qualifying for the IC4A/ECAC Championships with a superb effort in the 10,000m run at the Sam Howell Races at Princeton this past Friday.

The sophomore finished the 10K in a time of 30:23.91, good for a sixth place finish. The time currently stands as the second fastest recorded in the A-10 this year and is good for 57th place in the nation.
