Sarah Catlin enters her eighth season at the helm of the Explorer field hockey program. During her tenure, Catlin has established academic excellence while continuing to mold a growing program. In the past 5 years, the team has boasted the top GPA for all Division I field hockey programs as well as top GPA on campus. While seeing the team achieve its highest win total in over a decade, Catlin has coached regional All-Americans and A-10 conference standouts.
Catlin graduated from Bucknell University in 1998, and took her first coaching job as an assistant coach at Columbia University. The following spring she accepted the assistant coach position at Miami University of Ohio. For the next two seasons, Catlin focused on team defense and individual off-season training, while recruiting on a national level. In the spring of 2001, she left the program and took over the head coach position at Susquehanna University in lacrosse, leading the team to its first regular season title.
Outside of her collegiate coaching background, Catlin has worked at an extensive list of summer camps and US Field Hockey programs. She serves as the Coaches Representative to the Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Committee and is the Division I Representive on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Executve Board. This summer, Catlin earned her USFHA Level II Coaching Accrediation. She will complete her Masters in Professional Communication this academic year.
