Brianne Brown

Brianne Brown

Brianne Brown enters her third season as head coach of La Salle's softball program in 2011, and fourth season overall with the Explorers. Brown served as a graduate assistant coach in 2008, where her primary responsibility was working with the infielders and outfielders.

Brown earned her first head coaching win on March 14, 2009, when she guided the Explorers to a 3-2 win over Yale at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, FL. Her 2009 Explorers also swept Temple with two shutouts and swept George Washington. Another highlight of her first season was junior pitcher Gina Massaro pitching a perfect game in an 8-0 five-inning win over Rider on April 16. In her second season (2009) at the helm, she improved La Salle's season win-total from the previous season, as the Explorers posted 13 wins in 2010.

Brown graduated from nearby Drexel University in 2007 where she was a standout third baseman for the Dragons. The two-year captain earned All-CAA honors as a senior and led all CAA third basemen in home runs, RBI and slugging percentage in 2007. She holds the current career mark for walks with 69 and graduated as the career home run leader with 10. Brown also ranks in Drexel's top 20 for career hits with 133. She earned MVP honors both her freshman and senior seasons.

Brown graduated from Drexel with a degree in corporate communication and is continuing her education here at La Salle in the MBA program.
