High School: Named to the first team All-Western League as a senior after posting a .398 batting average...finished career ranked in top 10 in batting average (.368) and hits (82) at La Jolla...registered a .396 batting average as a junior and was selected to San Diego County All-Star Game...All-Academic choice on four occasions...enjoyed successful football playing career as a quarterback...third all-time leading passer at La Jolla
