Mike Malloy

Mike Malloy has been coaching at La Salle since the fall of 2005 and is a graduate of the school. In 2008, he joined the team as a full-time assistant. He is proud to still be a part of the team and enjoys recruiting and working with new rowers.

Malloy had a successful run as an oarsman during his time at La Salle. During his freshman year, he and senior team captain Paul Voslion went nearly undefeated in the varsity pair, winning six gold medals, a Dad Vail gold and a prized IRA bronze. He repeated with a successful sophomore year in the Varsity 4 by winning several gold medals along with a Dad Vail bronze. After a brief hiatus his junior year, he returned to be a part of La Salle's first Varsity 8 in a number of years.

Malloy is currently living in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia, near the La Salle boathouse. He is a member of the Fairmount Rowing Club and is an EMT and a volunteer member of the Second Alarmers Rescue Squad in Montgomery County.
