La Salle University Athletics

No stranger to La Salle, Colfer honed his playing skills as an Explorer from 1996-98. As a player, Colfer compiled a career singles record of 55-31 and competed in the #1 slot in his junior and senior years. Colfer also earned a spot on the Atlantic 10 Honor Roll from 1996-98. A Philadelphia native, Colfer also attended La Salle High School where he was a four-time All-Catholic selectionIn addition to being named the top player twice, he was also named Most Valuable Player in 1994.

At La Salle High, Colfer was a member of the Catholic League championship team for three years while playing in the #1 slot. Coming from a family of tennnis players, the Colfer family was named Philadelphia's Tennis Family of the Year in 1998.
