Kara Branz enters her third year as the Explorers' volunteer assistant coach. Her primary duty is to assist in the planning and executing of practices.

A former standout on the court for the Explorers, Branz finished her career in the top ten in games played with 421. She also left her mark on the assisted block category, finishing sixth all-time with 167.

In addition to her on-court experience, Branz got her coaching start volunteering at Northlawn Junior High School in Illinois, where she assisted for five years. Branz also gained coaching experience for three years at the University of Illinois volleyball camp.

A 2006 La Salle graduate, Branz earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She currently works for La Salle in career counselling while she pursues a Master's degree in clinical counseling.
