Tyler Westergard arrives at La Salle from Temple University, where he has been the strength and conditioning graduate assistant for men’s and women’s basketball since October 2024.

At Temple, Westergard led team and individual training sessions to focus on strength, power, mobility, and conditioning.

Prior to Temple, Westergard gained experience in the industry in his native state of Delaware. He was the facility manager at 3&D sports performance in 2023 and 2024, serving as the head strength and conditioning coach working with middle school, high school, college, and adult athletes to help program workouts.

The Newark, Delaware, native has also been involved with the Saint Mark’s High School football program since 2019, first as an assistant coach, and since 2022, has been the program’s head strength and conditioning coaching, implementing an injury-prevention program catered to preventing low extremity injuries.

Westergard earned his bachelor’s degree in health behavioral science with a minor in strength and conditioning from the University of Delaware in May 2023. He is currently pursuing his masters in sports business; sports administration from Temple University, anticipating graduating in fall 2026.
