PHILADELPHIA – Volleyball senior Jacquelyn Mitrovich has been named the La Salle Student-Athlete of the Week, as announced today by the La Salle Office of Athletic Communications.

Mitrovich tallied 2.54 kills pet set on a team-leading .308 hitting percentage on the week to help the Explorers go 2-1.

The senior paced La Salle with 12 kills and three block assists in an Atlantic 10 victory over Rhode Island, its first in three seasons, on Saturday afternoon at Tom Gola Arena.  She hit three winners in the deciding set and also added the final kill to win the third set for La Salle.

The Explorers are back in action with a 7:00 p.m. contest on Thursday against Temple at Tom Gola Arena.
