Senior forward Kelsey Haycook has been named La Salle Student Athlete of the Week after helping the Explorers to a pair of A-10 wins this weekend.
Haycook, who also earned Co-Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, scored the game-winning goals in road victories over Dayton and Saint Louis.
On Friday, Haycook scored the game-winning goal in the 31st minute on an assist from Jessika Kagan, beating the keeper to the lower left corner for her 12th goal of the season. The Explorers became the first team to beat Dayton at home in an A-10 matchup since 2007, snapping a 30-game unbeaten streak.
Haycook broke a 1-1 tie in the 86th minute against Saint Louis on Sunday, scoring on a corner kick from Maryam Huseini to lift the Explorers to their fifth straight win.
