La Salle redshirt senior Ryan Welling has been named the GoExplorers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

The Baltimore, Md. native hit .667 (10-for-15) with a homer, three doubles and nine RBI’s as La Salle took two of three at UNC Asheville this weekend. Welling had career-highs with five hits and six RBI's in a 16-5 win on Friday thanks to a two-run double and a grand slam and finished 5-for-6 with three RBI's in Sunday’s 14-3 win to clinch the series. The Calvert Hall product slugged 1.067 and had a .688 on-base percentage.
