La Salle men's track and field sophomore Chris Sanders has been named this week's GoExplorers.com Athlete of the Week. 

Sanders repeated his individual title and helped La Salle defend their 4x800 meter relay title for the sixth straight season at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
 
He won the men’s 800 meter finals thanks to a 1:51.85 time to win by .22 seconds and earn La Salle ten team points in the process. He returned later in the day to anchor the men’s 4x800 meter relay on their way to a total time of 7:30.56 which won by .74 seconds and earn La Sall an additional ten points.
