Junior Marykate Bateman of the women's soccer team has been named GoExplorers.com Athlete of the Week following her performance in last week's Atlantic 10 Championship.

In a 2-1 upset of Saint Joseph's in Thursday's opening round, Bateman scored the game-tying goal in the 14th minute and later assisted the game-winner in the 69th minute. The junior also tied the A-10 semifinal against Duquesne at 1-1 with a goal in the 24th minute.
