Amy Griffin has been named the GoExplorers.com Student-Athlete of the Week after averaging 23.7 points in a 2-1 week for the Explorers. 

The Atlanta, Ga. native was named MVP of the Hawk Holiday Classic after leading the Explorers to wins over Norfolk State (12/29) and Monmouth (12/30) on the way to the title. The sophomore had a career-high 31 points in the championship game against Monmouth, and followed the honor with a game-high 24 points against Richmond on Saturday. Griffin also averaged 8.7 rebounds through those three games.
