Brendan Robertson, Justin Guerre, Anthony Hawthorne and Stephen Lewandowski are your GoExplorers.com Athletes of the Week after they combined to set a new relay record in the collegiate men's DMR event and earn silver overall at the Penn Relays this weekend.

The group registered a 9:47.93 split in the event as both La Salle and Oklahoma eclipsed the previous record of 9:48. The Explorers crossed the line second behind the Sooners, who clocked a 9:46.52.  

Opening the race with a 1200m run was senior Robertson, who completed the first leg of the journey in 3:03.49. He handed the baton off to Guerre, who sprinted the 400m portion in a career-best 47.56.

Following for the 800m stretch was rookie Anthony Hawthorne. He finished the two laps in a personal best time of 1:51.08 as he handed the baton off to senior Lewandowski to wrap up the event.

As anchor, Lewandowski surged forward to complete his 1600m leg in 4:05.81 to secure the second place over 24 other teams in the final Penn Relays of his career.
