Steve Kuttruff

Steve Kuttruff has led La Salle divers for over a decade.  Entering his 13th season as the La Salle men's and women's diving coach in 2019-20, Steve has led members of the men's and women's squad to the finals of every Atlantic10 Championship for the past 11 years. The 2018 Men's Atlantic 10 Diving Coach of the year, Steve oversaw two members of the men’s diving team place top three at the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships.

Dylan Yurasits set a new conference record in the one meter dive with a 348.45 score. Two days later, he set a school record in the three meter dive with a 364.70 score. Yurasits finishes his collegiate career with three golds and a silver during his A-10 career. Kuttruff has guided divers to 7 medals (top 3 places) over his career. 

In addition to coaching La Salle University, Steve also coaches the Centennial Diving Team based out of La Salle. Under Steve's guidance, Centennial Diving has qualified divers to USA Diving national championship every year since 2007, produced an Olympic trial qualifier, multiple Junior World Trial qualifiers and PIAA State champions.

"Steve has a great reputation as a coach and is well respected throughout the diving community. As a member of the La Salle Swimming & Diving coaching staff, Steve's really believes in connecting with athletes on multiple levels. He gets the importance of developing the overall person through sport. He is on point to our program's mission", said head coach Jamie Platt.

Steve is a member of USA Diving and AAU Diving.  A graduate of Penn State University ('89), Steve competed for the Lions from 1985-87. and holds degrees in Art (Penn State University '89) and Education (West Chester University '05). He currently resides in Jenkintown, PA.
