Brad Kane, who has improved nearly every part of the La Salle golf program, is in his fourth season as the head coach for the Explorers.

During his tenure, he has coached the first two Explorers to receive Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors in Mike Johnson (2014) and Tonny Aizpun (2015). His squads have also set new program records for individual 18, 36 and 54 hole scores as well as team record scores for 18 holes and 54 holes.

The schedule has also been upgraded to include several prestigious regional tournaments, along with hosting the Finegan Invitational at Talamore CC and Stonewall. The event is named for La Salle Hall of Athletes golfer and noted national golf writer, Jim Finegan '51. The event will be contested at Philadelphia Country Club in 2016.

Several alumni have gone on to pursue professional golf careers including Johnson, Ed Carnes '13 and Tyler Fewell '14.

In addition, Kane helped raise money for the Joseph Markmann '49 indoor golf facility, which allows the team to work on their games during the winter months.

The coach at Penn State Harrisburg for six years, Kane was named the North Eastern Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2011 and 2012 after his squad won the league title and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament. In both seasons a Nittany Lion golfer won the individual medalist honors.
