Philadelphia, PA - The La Salle University Football team led all teams in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference by placing 13 players on the All-Academic Team, and also put two offensive and two defensive players on the All-Conference Team.

Sophomores Ed Marynowitz (Quarterback) and Joe Cifelli (Offensive Line) were both named to the conference's offensive second team, while defensive backs, senior Kevin Smith and junior Vernard Abrams, were both named to the second team on defense.

Smith, who was among the 13 named to the All-Academic Team, was the only Explorer to be named to both squads.
