Sullivan, Watkins and Jump Named to Football Gazette All-America Team

Corey Watkins was named Second Team All-America.

Michael Jump was named an Honorable Mention All-America.

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Three Explorers garnered spots on the 2005 Don Hansen's Football Gazette NCAA I-AA Mid-Major All-America Team.  Running back Kevin Sullivan (Nanuet, NY/St. Joe's-Montvale) was named First Team All-America on offense as an all-purpose player. Offensive tackle Corey Watkins (Aston, PA/Cardinal O'Hara) earned second team honors on offense and quarterback Michael Jump (Toms River, NJ/Toms River South) made the honorable mention list on offense.

Sullivan found the end zone nine times for the Explorers. The junior rushed for 610 yards and four touchdowns this season, averaging 55.5 yards per game. Sullivan caught 63 passes for 613 yards and five touchdowns. He also returned 10 kicks for an average of 14.8 yards.

Watkins helped anchor La Salle's offensive line. The 6-foot-3 junior was a key part in the protection of Jump, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year.

Jump threw for 2,607 yards and 22 touchdowns for the Explorers. The sophomore broke five La Salle records this season: passing yards in a season (2,607), completions in a season (199), completions in a game (30, at Catholic), attempts in a season (372) and attempts in a game (60, at the College of New Jersey).
