PHILADELPHIA, PA - After a strong freshman campaign on the softball field, La Salle's Kelli Curcio (Hatboro, PA/St. Basil) was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team. The second baseman also earned a spot on the conference's All-Rookie Team.

Curcio started all 43 games she played and led the Explorers in batting average (.287) and hits (37). The freshman smacked five doubles and a triple. She hit five home runs, including a grand slam against St. Francis. Curcio drove in 15 runs and scored 19. She drew eight walks and carried an on-base percentage of .336. In the field, Curcio had 91 putouts and 64 assists and a .923 fielding percentage.

Curcio is the first Explorer to garner A-10 postseason honors for her performance on the field since Amanda Clark was named Rookie of the Year in 2001.
