Jackie Kushman recorded a double-double, including a match-high 13 kills, but the La Salle volleyball team's slide continued, as they were swept by Rhode Island on Friday evening. The Explorers fell by scores of 30-17, 30-28 and 30-18.

 

Kayla Beck led the Explorers with 14 digs, while Kushman chipped in with 11. Carly Conlon had a team high 24 assists. Amy McKeon added eight kills and three digs for La Salle, as the blue and gold fell to 9-18 on the year and 1-7 in the Atlantic 10.

 

Kushman and McKeon combined to hit .313, but the rest of the team struggled, hitting just .155 for the match.

 

The Rams' Kaira Kachadurian led all players with 47 assists. Lauren McIntosh led Rhode Island with 12 kills, while Jillian Bekke had 10.

 

The Explorers return to action tomorrow afternoon, when they take on the Fordham Rams in an A-10 match up in The Bronx, NY. The action gets underway at 1:00 p.m.
