A-10 Indoor Track & Field Predictions Released

Oct. 9, 2007

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The forecast is out for the 2007-08 men's and women's A-10 Indoor Track and Field preseason selections, and the Explorers are expected to finish near the top in the upcoming season. La Salle was picked to finish third (men) and fourth (women) respectively in the A-10, as chosen by the conference's coaches.

Sean Quigley (Braintree, MA) led the men to a second-best finish in 2006-07 in the A-10, just short of #1 Rhode Island. Quigley returns this season after earning an All-American trifecta last year- garnering this national honor in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track.

The women's team finished fourth in 2006-07, and has high hopes this season with Rachel Papin (Philadelphia, PA) returning for her final year. Papin was a NCAA provisional qualifier in the Indoor 5000m and holds the school record in that event. She also earned titles at the A-10 Indoor Championships in 2006-07 in the one mile and 3000m events.
