Box Score

Washington, D.C.- Junior forward Kevin Lydic (Marlton, NJ) scored at 37:05 in the first half to put La Salle (6-11-1, 4-5) within one, but there would be no happy ending for the Explorers as they fell 2-1 to George Washington in the regular season finale.

 

Despite outshooting George Washington 20-11, the Explorers could not find an answer after falling behind 2-0 in the first half.  The Colonial's got an early goal from Abimbola Pedro just five minutes into play, and then another score from Joachim Walker at the 29:12 mark. 

 

Lydic's goal was his fifth of the season.  He was assisted by senior Devin Ladd (Lebanon, CT) and freshman Ryan Richter (Southampton, PA).

 

There would be no scoring in the second stanza, as the final score stood GW 2, La Salle 1. 

 

Junior goalie Andrew Bernhard (Lancaster, PA) had six saves, while Colonial keeper Greg Yahr had eight stops.
