Lakewood, NJ - The La Salle Explorers opened up play at the first round of the MU Hawk Invitational hosted by Monmouth University on Sunday afternoon at eagle Ridge Country Club.

The Explorers came in at sixth place of ten team after the first 18 holes with a team score of 317.

Steve Sieracki (Cherry Hill, NJ/Bishop Eustace) led the way for the Explorers with a 75 to put himself in a four-way tie for sixth place individually.

Junior Chris Caimano (Wrightstown, PA/Holy Ghost Prep) came in at 77 while teammate John Lorenzo (Laguna Hills, CA/Laguna Hills) was one stroke behind him at 78.

Play will conclude Monday afternoon.
