Quigley Places Third at Regionals and Quailfies for NCAA's; Papin and Moseley on the Bubble

Gainesville, FL - After the first day of competition at the NCAA Eastern Regional Championships one Explorer has earned a berth into the NCAA Championship meet in Sacramento, CA on June 6th while two others must await their fate.

Senior sensation Sean Quigley ran the 5,000m in a time of 14:10.79 to finish third and earn NCAA qualification.  He had also previously earned a spot in the national meet in the 10,000m.

Also performing well, but not automatically qualifying, were Rachel Papin and Ryan Moseley who rank highly on the national list in the long jump and 5,000m respectively.

Moseley leaped 7.58m to finish seventh in his event while Papin - who is also an NCAA qualifier in the 10,000m  - finished 10th with a time 16:19.29 in the 5,000m.

Both must await their final ranking on the national list before determining their qualifiaction.

The Eastern Regionals continue from Florida's Pressly Stadium Saturday with the Explorer 4x400 relay team of James Tchabo, Andrew Maxwell, Steven Rendall and Jared Davis chasing their own spot in the NCAA meet.
