Stephanie Owen and Danielle DiMarco each posted double-doubles as La Salle won a spirited match over the visiting Fairleigh Dickinson Knights on Wednesday night, 3-2. Owen recorded 16 kills to go along with 11 digs, while DiMarco had 15 kills and 13 digs. Rachel Stemper added 16 kills for the Explorers, who improved to 6-8 on the year.
 
After a tight 30-28 loss in game one, La Salle stormed back to take the next two games by 30-25 scores. The Explorers hit .353 and .295 in games two and three, respectively.
 
Both teams stood tied at 16 in game three before FDU took total control, outscoring La Salle 14-2 the rest of the way in the 30-18 victory.
 
The Explorers then slammed the door on the Knights, winning the fifth and final game by a 15-11 score. DiMarco had four kills to seal the game for La Salle.
 
Erin Sullivan turned in a game-high 57 assists, while Kayla Beck led the Explorers with 20 digs.
 
It was a much needed victory for the Explorers, who had lost six of their previous seven matches coming into tonight.
 
La Salle travels to Delaware State next Tuesday to square off against the Hornets at 7 p.m.
