The La Salle volleyball team opened the Atlantic 10 portion of their schedule on the wrong foot, dropping a 3-0 contest to Charlotte on Friday evening. The blue and gold fell in consecutive games by scores of 30-27, 30-21 and 30-22.

 

Rachel Stemper led the Explorers with 10 kills. Carly Conlon returned to the lineup and posted a team-high 15 assists.

 

Kayla Beck led La Salle with 13 digs, while Danielle DiMarco added 12.

 

The Explorers hit just .060 overall for the match, as they fell to 0-1 in the A-10 and 8-11 overall.

 

Cori Dayton led the 49ers (9-7, 1-2) with 17 kills.

 

La Salle looks to rebound when they travel to the nation's capital on Sunday to take on George Washington at 2 p.m.
