Jan. 30, 2008

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Senior distance runner Sean Quigley (Braintree, MA) has been named the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference's (ECAC) Division I Men's Track `Athlete of the Week' for the second consecutive week after shattering La Salle's school-record in the 3K at the Terrier Invitational held at Boston University this past weekend in 7:52.47.

The four-time All-American has also been named Atlantic 10 `Performer of the Week' for his efforts in each of the past two weeks, as the 3K time also automatically qualified the senior for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships where he has also qualified for the mile event.

Quigley currently holds the fastest time in the A-10 in the 3K with his 7:52.47 performance, as well as the top time in the mile in 4:02.80, which he ran at the Gotham Cup.  His mile time is presently the second-fastest in La Salle running history.
