Philadelphia, PA – Heading into Saturday, the La Salle men’s tennis team was looking at three matches in three straight days to end the fall season. The Explorers snapped a two-game losing streak as they went on to defeat Delaware State at home on Saturday, 6-1.
Junior Jon Maula had a solid outing on the afternoon as he defeated Milos Velickovic in number three singles, 6-3, 6-2. Maula also teamed up with sophomore George Gennaoui in number one doubles and picked up a victory over Oleg Mironchikov and Roman Pitatelev, 8-3.
“Everyone played real well today,” said head coach Ed Colfer. “This was a great win for us.”
The Explorers (4-2) travel to Wagner on Sunday before returning home to face Philadelphia University on Monday in the final match of the fall season.
