St. Louis, MO - The La Salle volleyball team embarked on a two-game road trip on Friday, but the Billikins of Saint Louis were already prepared for their entrance as they went on to defeat the Explorers, 3-0 (25-8, 25-9, 25-12).

Seniors Jackie Kushman and Tammi Jones were the only two Explorers to achieve double-digit digs in the match, combining for 25. Kushman, who wore jersey number 19 in the match, added a team-high seven kills along with recording one of her team's two assisted blocks on the evening.

Senior Christa Dominick, juniors Rachel Stemper and Danielle DiMarco and sophomore Stephanie Milovic all contributed two kills respectively. Freshman Kourtney Clark led the Explorers with seven assists while also tallying four digs.

For the Billikins, junior Bridget Fonke was one kill shy of achieving a double-double, finishing with nine kills and 12 digs, and junior Whitney Roth led all participants in the match with 22 assists. Overall, Saint Louis totaled 46 kills, 40 assists, 60 digs and 10 assisted blocks.

The Explorers (4-14, 1-4) complete their two-game road swing on Sunday as they travel to Duquesne and then return home to face Wagner on Tuesday, October 7.
