NEW YORK (AP) - Rodney Green scored 19 points and La Salle closed the game on a 12-3 run for an 83-78 victory over Fordham on Wednesday night, the Explorers' fifth straight win.

Darnell Harris scored all six of his points in the final 4:15 for La Salle (14-13, 8-5 Atlantic 10). His jumper brought the Explorers within 75-73 with 3:22 left and started the game-closing burst that saw Fordham miss three of four shots and turn the ball over three times.

Green's two free throws with 2:51 left tied the game and Harris' 3-pointer - his only one of the game but team-leading 104th of the season - gave the Explorers the lead for good. They were ahead 83-75 when Brenton Butler of Fordham hit a 3 with 1.2 seconds to go.

Bryant Dunston had 25 points and 12 rebounds for the Rams (11-14, 5-8), who had won three of four. It was the sixth straight game the senior forward recorded a double-double and the 14th in the last 15. Dunston, 12th in the conference in scoring with a 15.4 average and tops in rebounding at 9.9 per game, was 10-for-17 from the field and blocked three shots.

The win clinched at least a .500 season in Altantic 10 play for the just the third time in their 13 years in the conference.  The Explorers' amazing 6-1 record on the road represents ther third time in four seasons under Giannini that the team set highs for A-10 road wins.
