Sam Howell Invitational Schedule
PHILADELPHIA, PA- Sean Quigley qualified for the Olympic Trials, NCAA Outdoor Championship and smashed La Salle's school record the 10K crown in 28:03 on the first day of the 34th annual Stanford Invitational at Cobb Track. Ed Baynes placed 8th in the 10K event (section 3) and Christa Plummer finished 5th (16:34.18) in the 5K section 2.
William Rhea took 21st in the 800m (1:52.09) for the Explorers and , David Alfano ran to a 23rd place finish (14:26.83) in the men's 5K section 2.
For the women Carolyn Lipovsky took 19th (17:05.83) in the women's 5K section 2 and Rachel Papin took 26th in the women's 10K (35:05.25).
At Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational Kristina Kubala qualified for Junior Nationals in the 5K, while Andrew Wagoner had a solid performance in the 10K and Tom Ranalli had a strong showing in the Steeplechase.

Competing at the Stanford Invitational will be a mixture of Pac-10, regional and national programs. La Salle will face national powers Arkansas, Wisconsin, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Baylor, Florida State, Tennessee, BYU and others.
Other La Salle runners will be competing at the Sam Howell Invitational at Princeton on Friday and Saturday, and the Penn Invitational on Saturday.
