VILLANOVA, PA - The Villanova Wildcats (3-0) scored three first half goals and quelled a strong second half surge led by La Salle (1-2) first-year players to remain undefeated on Friday night at Villanova Stadium.

The Wildcats first struck two minutes and eight seconds into the game with the first of two goals from Dana Ramsden -her third and fourth on the season.

Jenn Nazarethean scored the third and final goal of the game at the 25:15 mark of the first half.

Freshmen Becca Freed, Lindsay Fry, Katelyn Haney and first-year sophomore Marissa Dombrowski turn in strong performances along with senior Whitney Madron.

Kara Harpel and Beth Carey each put a pair of shots on net for the Explorers who were outshot 11-5.

The Explorers were forced to defend seven penalty corners while taking just two.

Next up will be a Sunday morning match-up against Robert Morris at 11:30 AM at La Salle's Hank DeVincent Field.
