PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle volleyball team played the second match of a back-to-back homestand on Monday when they hosted the University of Dayton, but an early start from the Flyers proved to be the difference as the Explorers went on to lose, 3-0 (9-25, 15-25, 17-25).
Freshman Samantha Tulskie led everyone in the match with 14 digs while sophomore Stephanie Milovic paced the Explorers with a .429 attack percentage (8K-2E-14TA).
Junior Carly Conlon and sophomore Kourtney Clark combined for 25 assists and five digs and freshman Lauren Noga ended the evening with six kills and three digs.
The Flyers combined for a .402 attack percentage, including a .536 percentage (16K-1E-28TA) in the first set.
Junior Amanda Cowdrey led all participants with 14 kills and fellow classmate Kacie Hausfeld also posted a match-best with 21 assists.
The Explorers (3-27, 0-12) will travel down Broad Street on Friday, Nov. 6, to meet up with Temple at 12:00 p.m. ET.
