George Washington Proves Too Much For La Salle

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Kelly Scanlon and Jacquelyn Mitrovich each notched seven kills during La Salle's 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-17) loss to George Washington.

Breanna Mazalewski added 17 digs and Kourtney Clark tallied a match-high 23 assists.  The Colonials' Katie Zulandt led all attackers with eight kills on the evening.

The Colonials hit .394 as a team in the first set, propelling themselves to a 25-10 victory.

George Washington also dominated in the second set, using an 8-0 run that included four service aces by Alex Coward to distance itself from La Salle.

The Explorers got within three late in the third frame after a block by Mitrovich and Clark, but the Colonials prevailed 25-17.

La Salle will next travel to Charlotte for a match on Sunday at 2 p.m.
