Oct. 15, 2010

Box Score

OLEAN, NY - Anna Dolhansky scored just 45 seconds into the second overtime period to lift La Salle Women's Soccer to a 2-1 double overtime victory at St. Bonaventure in Atlantic 10 Conference action Friday afternoon. It was her second of the afternoon and her team-high tying seventh of the 2010 season.

For the third straight contest, and the fifth time in six outings, La Salle keeper Gabby Pakhtigian recorded at least seven saves to keep the Explorers in the match.

In Friday's contest, she made a season-high tying eight, for the third straight game, which is one shy of her career high of nine, at Sacred Heart on Aug. 28, 2009 in her collegiate debut. With this effort, she increased her season total to 74 saves, which leads the A-10, and won her seventh game of the year and the 11th of her career.

The contest was scoreless after the first half thanks in part to Pakhtigian, who came up with four early saves through the game's first 13 minutes.

Dolhansky put the Explorers on the board first just after the break (46:12) when she followed up a rebounded shot from Jess Hopton, who notched her team-high tying fourth assist of the year on the play.

St. Bonaventure (7-7-0, 1-3-0 A-10) evened the game at 1-1 when the Bonnies finally got a ball past Pakhtigian. On their 19th shot of the afternoon, eighth on net, Tori Burchett scored her fourth of the season off a cross from Courtney Bosse at the 58:39 mark.

Dolhansky took a pass from Leigh Gray, her fourth assist of the season, to tally her first game-winning goal of the season, and her first mult-goal game as a collegiate. Morgan Golden was also credited with an assist on the tally.

La Salle (7-6-2, 1-2-1 A-10) will conclude its last regular season road trip when the Explorers face the Duquesne Dukes on Sunday at 1 PM in Pittsburgh.
