BRONX, NY - Chas Berenato helped lift the men's tennis team to a 4-3 victory over Fordham with a match-clinching victory at No. 2 singles.
"I was proud of the intensity the players brought to the match," head coach Ed Colfer said. "It was a hostile environment and our players remained in control."
After Trevor Donovan and Joseph LaBate earned victories for La Salle, Berenato remained the last Explorer on the court and took down Fordham's Kevin Maloney, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.
La Salle earned the doubles point after the pairs of George Gennaoui and Berenato and Donovan and Mikel Kosich each notched wins.
The Explorers are back in action tomorrow when Millersville travels to 20th and Olney.
