PHILADELPHIA - Kiara Smith notched the Explorers’ lone win on the day at No. 1 singles as they fell to Delaware State, 6-1.

Smith took the first set, dropped the second and then came through with a 11-9 victory in the tiebreaker.

The squad will return to action on Oct. 15 when it faces Gwynedd-Mercy on the La Salle campus.
