Box Score

DAYTON, OH - La Salle Women's Soccer could not stop the Atlantic 10 Conference's leading scorer Colleen Williams, as she scored twice to lift the host Dayton Flyers to a 2-0 victory on Sunday afternoon at Baujan Field.

The Flyers outshot La Salle 24-6 in the contest and held a 9-1 advantage in corners.

The Explorers were kept close in the match thanks to goalkeeper Gabby Pakhtigian, who came up with three of her season-high tying eight saves through the matches' first 12 minutes. There was also a team save on a shot in the fifth minute.

Dayton (10-2-0, 2-0-0 A-10) would break through at the 33:21 mark as Williams netted her 10th of the season off an assist from Kelsey Miller. It took her just 4:20 to tally her 11th, as Allison Giner and Alysha Mallon earned assists on the play.

The Flyers continued to pepper the La Salle net with shots, as Pakhtigian kept Dayton off the board in the second half to give her side a chance at a comeback. She faced 13 shots after the break and made all four saves on shots on goal.

La Salle (6-6-1, 0-0-2) will return to McCarthy Stadium for its next match, hosting Fordham on Friday with kickoff slated for 5 PM.
