PHILADELPHIA - La Salle graduate Vernon Goodridge is currently playing for the Golden State Warriors during the NBA preseason in hopes of continuing his basketball career at the highest level. The Warriors open up the preseason on Friday evening against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Goodridge, who earned his degree from La Salle in May, is trying to secure one of the final spots on Golden State's roster. Goodridge averaged 6.7 points and 5.9 rebounds in just 21 minutes per game for the Explorers during the 2008-09 season.
