PHILADELPHIA - Kiara Smith and Allison Armein picked up singles victories but the La Salle women's tennis team fell to Monmouth, 4-3, on Tuesday afternoon. Smith defeated Nicole Lippens, 7-6 (4), 6-1 at #1 and Armein defeated Jessica Slinger, 7-5, 6-3 at #2.

In doubles, the pair combined to beat Lippens/Tierney at #1, 8-4.

La Salle is back in action on Thursday when it visits Rider.
