DAYTON, OH - The Explorers fell to Dayton, 85-51, on Wednesday evening at the University of Dayton Arena.

Ashley Gale registered a team-high 15 points, while Alexis Scott posted 11 points and a team-high seven rebounds.

For the Flyers, Olivia Applewhite registered a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebound in her 15 minutes of play off the bench.  Kristin Daugherty tallied a game-high 16 points.

Dayton jumped out to a 7-0 lead at the start of play before the Explorers got on the board with a jumper by Scott.  The Flyers worked to put up a 52-21 lead at the break.

La Salle would continue to trail in the second half, falling behind by as many as 37 points.

Gale registered a steal to tally career number 164, which tied Kelly Greenberg for the 10th position all-time in La Salle program history.

The Explorers return to Tom Gola Arena to face George Washington on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
