FARMVILLE, VA – For the second week in a row, La Salle baseball’s series-opening game has been cancelled due to rain.

The Explorers will wait it out and play a doubleheader tomorrow against Longwood beginning at 1 p.m.

The twin-bill, which was originally scheduled for one nine-inning game followed by a seven-inning affair, will both be nine-inning games to make up for Friday’s rain-out.

Friday’s scheduled starter, LHP Eric Van Wyk (0-0, 0.00), has been pushed back to Sunday with RHP Kevin Fuqua (0-1, 5.06) and RHP Cody Weiss (0-1, 27.00) set to start Saturday’s double-dip.

Van Wyk pitched the first two innings of last Friday’s game against UCSB but due to the rain-out, no official stats were recorded.
