PHILADELPHIA -
The men’s tennis team, playing in the first of three matches this weekend, grabbed a 6-1 victory over Rider on Friday afternoon at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center.
“These are big matches for us down the stretch,” Head Coach Ed Colfer said. “I was proud of the team for competing hard.”
The Explorers swept the doubles competition before going on to win at No. 2 through No. 6 singles.
Joseph LaBate, Chas Berenato and Trevor Donovan dominated their opponents, each dropping just one point in their singles matches.
The Explorers will compete tomorrow at Villanova at 2:30 p.m.
